Scorpion S7-ALS Tracker
The Scorpion S7-ALS is the entry point to Scorpion’s car and van range. It’s a monitored GPS tracker with live tracking, journey history and a theft-response team, but without the driver tags that come with the S5. OJB Autocare supplies and fits it from £150. The Scorpion subscription is costed separately.

Is S7 the right level?
The S7-ALS makes sense if you want someone to act on a suspected theft and a clear picture of where the vehicle is. Your insurer should either have no specified tracker category or accept S7. It meets that need at a lower starting price than the S5.
Choose the S5-VTS instead if your insurer’s requirement names S5, or if you want ADR driver tags so the tracker can recognise authorised journeys. Scorpion adds driver recognition at S5 level. Thatcham certifies trackers in both the S5 and S7 categories but says certification doesn’t guarantee recognition by a particular insurer. Check your policy wording before you decide, including whether it asks for an active monitoring subscription as well as the hardware.
When the vehicle moves without you
If unauthorised movement is detected, Scorpion’s monitoring team contacts you to establish whether the vehicle has been stolen. Once theft is confirmed, they coordinate with the police. Your contact details matter for that first call. Keep them current in your Scorpion account so the team can reach you quickly.
Alerts, live location and the monitoring team’s response all depend on an active Scorpion subscription. Recovery isn’t guaranteed and depends on the circumstances and on police resources.
Everyday use
Most of the time, the app is a convenience. You can check where the vehicle is and its status, look back over journeys, decide which alerts you get and adjust privacy settings. Garage and transport modes cover times when the vehicle is in for work or being moved. The app can also direct you back to it in an unfamiliar car park.
Costs and subscription questions
How is the cost made up?
Supply and fitting starts from £150. Your total fitted price depends on the vehicle, and we confirm it in your quote before you book. The Scorpion monitoring subscription is a separate cost, with options and prices listed on our Scorpion trackers page.
When does monitoring start?
Monitoring, alerts, live location and app access start once the Scorpion subscription is paid and activated. Scorpion’s user guide states a minimum term of twelve months, and the installation certificate becomes available after activation. We’ll explain how your subscription will be set up when we confirm your quote.
What does ‘lifetime’ cover mean?
It runs for as long as you own the subscribed vehicle. It isn’t a personal account you can take to your next car, and it can’t be passed to another customer.
Booking a fitting
Our vehicle tracker installation page explains how fitting works. For a price, send us your registration or make, model and year, plus your postcode. We’ll check the vehicle and come back with a fitted quote. Fitting is by appointment at our Pollington workshop (DN14 0EA), or we can come to you if your postcode falls within our Yorkshire mobile service area. Scorpion’s own S7-ALS product page has the full feature list.
